a single drop

of red

in a sea of pristine white

something once so pure

so innocent

now tainted

stained

with insecurities

miscommunications

anger

contaminated

to say the least

with the dirt of society

the filth of trauma

like a blanket of snow

soiled by mud

a love tainted

is noticeable

but what is love 

without a little 

character

without being

rough around the edges

a tainted love

not always ruined as 

stains come out

if treated properly 

so tell me

is a tainted love

redeemable?

or something tossed out

like a bleached out towel?
